04 Equipment & materials
What we can make, and from what
We describe our machines by what they can do for you, not by model names. Specs are below; we choose materials together.

Materials
General properties below. What we have in stock changes from time to time — just ask.
| Material | Properties | Good for | Process | In stock |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PLA | Properties: Easy to print, stiff, clean surface finish. Poor heat resistance — starts softening around 55–60 °C. | Good for: Form studies, models, indoor parts | Process: 3D printing (FDM) | In stock: Yes |
| PETG | Properties: Tougher and more heat-resistant than PLA, slightly flexible, better moisture and chemical resistance. | Good for: Functional parts, clips, enclosures | Process: 3D printing (FDM) | In stock: Yes |
| TPU | Properties: Flexible and rubber-like, absorbs impact, gives a grippy surface. | Good for: Cases, gaskets, feet, grips | Process: 3D printing (FDM) | In stock: Yes |
| ABS / ASA | Properties: Heat- and impact-resistant; ASA is also UV-stable. Needs an enclosed printer. | Good for: Outdoor parts, electronics housings | Process: 3D printing (FDM) | In stock: Yes |
| Plywood (birch) | Properties: Light and strong; laser-cut edges darken and engraving gives a warm contrast. | Good for: Boxes, stands, organizers, inserts | Process: Laser cutting / engraving | In stock: Yes |
| MDF | Properties: Smooth, even surface, economical; sensitive to moisture, dark edges. | Good for: Templates, models, packaging inserts | Process: Laser cutting / engraving | In stock: Yes |
| Acrylic (PMMA) | Properties: Clear or colored, polished cut edges. Not every laser type can cut clear acrylic. | Good for: Lids, signs, stand and display parts | Process: Laser cutting / engraving | In stock: Yes — clear and colors |
| Leather (veg-tanned) | Properties: Engraves crisply with a natural mark. Chrome-tanned leather is not laser-safe. | Good for: Tags, key fobs, accessories | Process: Laser cutting / engraving | In stock: On request |
| Card / greyboard | Properties: Fast and cheap; ideal for fold and fit tests. | Good for: Box and insert prototypes | Process: Laser cutting | In stock: Yes |
! We don’t laser-cut PVC or vinyl: it releases toxic, corrosive gas when burned.
